Unwanted Tackle or Grab a Bargain!
Demelza Canterbury is having a Fishing Fortnight from
Saturday 1st June to Saturday 15th June
Demelza is a registered charity that has children's hospices at
Sittingbourne and Eltham. These provide specialist care and emotional
support for both children with terminal conditions and their loved ones
so that they can enjoy time together as a family, for as long as they
have. Just imagine if such a tragedy happened to your family!
Donations can be dropped off at : Demelza Canterbury shop at 18 Burgate, CT1
2HG (tel 01227-471896) from Monday 13th May.
There's free parking outside before 10.30 and after 4.00. The
shop itself is open 9.30 to 5.00 (11.00 to 4.30 Sundays). Please don't leave
outside the shop as things may be stolen!
We're looking for anything angling related (coarse, carp, sea or
game). The only exception are bivvies/shelters as, even though
we have a big shop, we don't have room to display them. We just ask that
every item is in good working order, and that clothes are washed and
are something that you'd still be happy to wear yourself.
Even if you have nothing to donate why not visit with your family
during Fishing Fortnight? Not only could you pick up a tackle bargain, but
there are bargains throughout the shop.
What's more, if you need something for a wedding or some other
special occasion Demelza Canterbury has a little-known downstairs floor devoted
to just this.
We look forward to seeing you before and during Fishing Fortnight.
